Our Organization
At Christian Health Associates, we believe that Christ’s love compels us to be His hand extended to touch our world. Our goal is “offering help along the way” as we work collaboratively through our associates in our community, nation, and world.
Christian Health Associates (CHA) is a non-profit corporation whose success comes through nurturing the varied associates that operate under the CHA umbrella:
Cornerstone Clinic Medical and Counseling Center – a family practice medical clinic and counseling center offering services of physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, licensed marriage and family therapists, professional counselors, and clinical social workers. Cornerstone Clinic offers “care for the whole person” through a range of clinical services to help people physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Alaska Medical Missions – a staging area for medical supplies and other humanitarian aid for delivery to developing countries. Alaska Medical Missions receives donations of fully functioning medical supplies and equipment from several sources, including hospitals, manufacturers, private medical facilities and individuals. A volunteer labor force collects, inventories, and stages donated items in a warehouse facility, after which they are distributed by short-term mission teams, church youth groups, career missionaries, airline personnel, and others traveling via Alaska to impoverished countries.
Anchorage Project Access – increases access to health care for low-income uninsured members of the community by using a volunteer network of over 700 health care providers working in a coordinated fashion to create a compassionate, respectful, equitable, accountable, and efficient program of necessary services for those in need.
Anchorage School-Based Health Centers – is a partnership between Anchorage School District and CHA that operates health centers within four Anchorage schools. ASBHC provides immunizations, sports physicals, and diagnosis and treatment of minor illness and injury to students with an aim to improve both health access and success at school.
Healthy Smiles Forever – provides oral health screenings, treatment, and preventive services onsite in Anchorage and Mat-Su area assisted-living and long-term care nursing facilities.
Cornerstone Recovery – provides faith-based programs founded on the Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual model of treatment and the 12-step approach to recovery, coexisting with our primary care clinic. Each patient is involved in individual and group therapy with a master level therapist, in addition to groups that offer counselor and peer support.
